Dr. Blei welcomed to North Platte

Platte River Rehab Medicine, P.C. would like to welcome and introduce Dr. Michael Blei to the North Platte medical community. Dr. Blei will be offering his services through our office on a monthly basis beginning in December of 2007.

Currently, Dr. Blei is the medical director for Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Services at Denver Health Medical Center and Associate Professor of Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado. He has been on academic faculty and practiced at the University of Colorado Hospital since his arrival in Denver in 1991. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

His North Platte practice currently will be limited to independent medical examinations, electrodiagnostic services, impairment ratings and second opinions. Clinically, he has experience with multi-traumatic and catastrophic injuries, major limb trauma and neurologic injury, along with spine disorders.

Appointments for Dr. Blei can be made by calling Platte River Rehab Medicine at 534-9100.

Thank you for the support in the initiation of his practice. We feel his services and expertise will further support the community we serve.

My Care Counts

Providing health care services to those covered under Medicare and Medicaid is becoming an increasingly difficult challenge. Medicare and Medicaid reimburse providers less than the cost of providing services.

Every day the women and men of our local hospitals respond to our communities' needs. Compassionately. Skillfully. Providing vital services. Trauma centers. Neonatal intensive care units. Wellness and disease management programs.

But this care shouldn't be taken for granted. It requires support from Washington, yet many political leaders want to cut the critical funding that allows our hospitals to provide the services we depend on.

Make sure hospital care is there whenever we need it. Sign the Call to Action.
