The
opening of Great Plains Regional Medical Center in 1975 marked the completion
of one of the most successful community efforts in North Plattes history. With
a practical outlook of the future, the North Platte community supported the
closing of two aging hospitals and then donated the funds to build a new
medical center.
A 1970s
building campaigns theme was "One Hospital, More Doctors has proved to
be true. Great Plains Regional Medical Center is now a regional facility with a
medical staff representing numerous specialties.
From the
beginning, the board decided the hospital needed to stay on the cutting edge of
medical technology. Today we are a quality medical center that offers a premier
cancer program; cardiac care in partnership with the prestigious Nebraska Heart
Institute, a family-centered birthing unit and numerous other services that
respond to the needs of our regional community in the heart of Nebraska.
I invite you to learn more about
Great Plains Regional Medical Center and the services we have to offer you.
