North Platte, Neb. Great Plains Regional Medical Center announced today the appointment of Mark Clark as chief information officer. In his new role, Clark is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction related to information systems crucial to the hospital’s clinical and business operation.
“Mark’s 23 years of IT experience and proven ability to implement new initiatives enables him to enhance our information technology operations and service delivery,” said Krystal Claymore, Great Plains Regional Medical Center chief financial officer. “His collaborative leadership style and focus on high quality service will be instrumental in the continued growth of GPRMC.”
Prior to joining GPRMC, Clark served in numerous executive leadership roles for Poudre Valley Health System in northern Colorado, including most recently as site chief information officer. Clark led information management for Poudre Valley Hospital, Mountain Crest Behavioral Health and outlying outpatient centers in Fort Collins. Additionally, he directed initiatives focused on expanding IT operations including the implementation and conversion of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Clark earned a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in finance at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He is a member of the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS).
