Dr. Shibeshi completed his medical training at Addis Ababa University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1992. He did a residency in internal medicine at the same university and worked as a General Practitioner and Assistant Professor at Jimma University Hospital in Jimma, Ethiopia. He has been a visiting scholar at Ludwig-Maximilian University in Germany and Nottingham City Hospital in the United Kingdom. Most recently, Dr. Shibeshi has done an International Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Brigham & Women's Hospital/Lown Cardiovascular Research Foundation through Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Howard University in Washington, DC.
His publications include being the principal investigator in a research study titled "Anxiety Worsens Prognosis in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease," presented at the World Congress of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology Annual Conference.
