Hospital parking lot change
North Platte, Neb. -- Great Plains Regional Medical Center will begin its Emergency Department and Heart and Vascular Center parking lot construction project on November 12.
Until further notice, patients and visitors are asked to ENTER the Emergency Department and Heart and Vascular Center from Oak Street and EXIT via Francis Street. During this time, traffic flow will become one-way through the northwest parking lot. Patients will be able to be dropped off north of the Emergency Department canopy.
Signage and directions will be clearly posted throughout the parking lot, ER drop-off zone, and on Oak and Francis Street. Please review the attached map for a graphical representation of the parking lot flow and ER drop-off zone.
“Great Plains Regional Medical Center is taking every precaution to ensure our patients arrive safely to the emergency department,” said Mel McNea, Great Plains Regional Medical Center chief operating officer.
According to McNea, construction around the emergency department is expected to be complete in approximately three weeks, after which traffic flow will be restored to its original pattern.
As always, patients and visitors are encouraged to use the hospital campus shuttle. This service is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. free of charge. To make prior arrangements for on-campus pick- up and drop-off, please call 308.539.4242.
