NeHII Comes to Great Plains Regional Medical Center

GPRMC JOINS NeHII

GPRMC is now providing a secure means of electronic exchange of clinical information among physicians and other healthcare providers after joining NeHII, the statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) for Nebraska. The network allows hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers to share lab results, radiology reports and transcription reports, with the goal of improving patient safety and quality of healthcare, while reducing costs. NeHII securely and instantly connects Nebraska hospitals, labs, physicians, pharmacies, and clinics, and is serving approximately 1 million of Nebraska’s 1.7 million patient lives, with continued growth expected. NeHII’s purpose is to achieve health care transformation through improved community teamwork while protecting the security and privacy of medical information.
