The opening of Great Plains in 1975 marked the completion of one of the most successful cooperative efforts in North Platte’s history. And for more than 35 years, we have remained committed to providing the kind of healthcare we would want for ourselves and our families.
Your 116 bed hospital holds a team of more than 800 healthcare employees and physicians representing over 25 specialties. We are a full-service medical center with a diverse offering of inpatient and outpatient care, home healthcare, education and outreach services to help us meet the diverse needs of our growing community.
Great Plains is part of this community, and with the generous financial support of those we serve, we improve our facilities, invest in the most advanced healthcare technology, and recruit the country’s best healthcare professionals. As a result, and in most cases, we’re able to provide the same treatment and care that a patient would receive in large urban area hospitals.
