Dr. Suravarapu completed his medical education at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, in 2002. He also received his Masters in Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas in 2004 and was a research fellow at Mayo Clinic in the Division of Epidemiology in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Suravarapu finished his residency in November in internal medicine at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Centre which is affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
Dr. Suravarapu has collaborated on many research projects and presented "The Utility of Serum AFP-L3 in the Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Evaluation in a U.S. Referral Population" at the Digestive Disease Week Congress in Los Angeles.
