Providing
a safe, therapeutic environment for patients with psychiatric needs in a cost
effective and sensitive manner.
The Behavioral Health
Services Inpatient Program is designed to provide 24 hour supervision in a safe
environment for patients over the age of 12 who may be experiencing symptoms of
mental illness or emotional crisis and are unable to contract for safety or
take care of their basic needs. We
accept both voluntary and involuntary patients into our 19-bed inpatient unit.
Patients are expected to
participate in a full daily treatment schedule. The treatment team includes the patient, the patients family,
psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapist, recreational therapist, social
worker, licensed mental health practitioner, clinical psychologist, chemical
addiction counselor, and dietician.
The primary goal is for
the patient to safely reintegrate into the community so discharge-planning
needs are addressed from the time of admission.
